3. Consulting Services

Engagement and scope

All consulting services provided by MedAssure are subject to a formal written scope of works agreed between MedAssure and the client prior to commencement. No work will begin until a scope has been accepted by the client.

The scope of works will specify the services to be provided, deliverables, timeline and fees applicable to the engagement.

Fees and payment

Fees for consulting services are set out in the scope of works provided to each client. All fees are quoted in Australian dollars and are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

Payment terms are as specified in the scope of works or invoice. MedAssure reserves the right to suspend services where payment is overdue.

Changes to scope

Any changes to the agreed scope of works must be agreed in writing between MedAssure and the client. Additional work outside the original scope will be quoted and agreed separately before being undertaken.

Client responsibilities

Clients engaging MedAssure's services agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information relevant to the engagement
  • Provide timely access to documentation, staff and systems as reasonably required
  • Review and respond to deliverables within agreed timeframes
  • Notify MedAssure promptly of any changes in the practice's situation that may affect the engagement

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images and downloadable resources — is the property of MedAssure Consulting and is protected by Australian copyright law.

You may download and use free resources made available on this website for your own practice's internal use. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit any content from this website without our written permission.

Documents, policies and frameworks developed by MedAssure for a client engagement are provided for that client's use in their accreditation preparation. Clients may not on-sell or distribute MedAssure's work product to third parties.

5. Disclaimer

MedAssure provides consulting assistance to support general practices in preparing for RACGP accreditation. Our services are designed to assist practices in building compliant documentation and systems — however, we do not guarantee accreditation outcomes.

Accreditation decisions are made by the relevant accrediting body (such as AGPAL or QPA) independently of MedAssure. Accreditation outcomes depend on a range of factors including the practice's operations, staff performance on survey day, and assessor judgement.

Content published on this website, including articles, guides and downloadable resources, is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice specific to any individual practice's situation. Practices should seek advice specific to their circumstances before making accreditation-related decisions.

The RACGP Standards for General Practices and accreditation requirements are subject to change. While we endeavour to keep content current, MedAssure does not warrant that all information published on this website reflects the most current requirements at the time of reading.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, MedAssure's liability for any claim arising from the use of our website or the provision of consulting services is limited to the fees paid by the client for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.

MedAssure is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from the use of our website or services, including but not limited to loss of accreditation, loss of revenue, or loss of Medicare incentive program payments.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to external websites including the RACGP, AGPAL, QPA, Services Australia and other third parties. These links are provided for convenience only. MedAssure does not endorse or take responsibility for the content, accuracy or practices of third-party websites.

8. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

9. Termination of Engagement

Either party may terminate a consulting engagement by providing written notice. In the event of termination, the client is liable to pay for all work completed up to the date of termination in accordance with the agreed scope and payment terms.

MedAssure reserves the right to terminate an engagement immediately if the client provides false or misleading information, acts in breach of these Terms, or engages in conduct that makes continuation of the engagement unreasonable.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
